India with nearly 1.5 billion people is a massive market. In the last two decades India’s economy has exponentially grown. Despite geopolitical shifts, uncertainties and risks it’s economy is projected to grow in the coming years at the rate above 7% on the strength of the financial sector and other recent and future structural reforms. It is vitally important for Tamil businesses to expand their footprints in states of India other than Tamil Nadu. The RISE Chennai Summit is making special efforts to bring Tamil entrepreneurs and professionals from Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar, Odisha to begin this process of Tamil Business engagement with other States of India.
Transforming Tamil Nadu’s economy into a trillion dollar one underpins the overall economic and social policies and initiatives of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The RISE organization through the Chennai Summit and beyond shall endeavor to make its own little contributions by leveraging diaspora linkages, expanding its startup and accelerator fund size and reach, investing in Resources Based Entrepreneurship which can propel an era and ethos of mass entrepreneurship.
Preparing the Tamil society for the AI & Deep Tech era remains top in the strategic priorities of The RISE Chennai summit. Particularly to ensure that the digital era unfolds and blossoms in the most inclusive, equitable and ethical manner. A parallel summit within the mega Chennai Summit involving mainly IT entrepreneurs and professionals is organized to delve immersive and come out with a road map to achieve this grand vision of preparing the Tamil community for the 21st century Deep Tech era.
The Rise Chennai summit will make provisions to understand Globalization 2.0 & the shifting paradigms of global trade, D-risking and relocation of supply chains. The summit will also discuss new commercial and governmental forces transforming trade dynamics. Treating the Diaspora heft as a crucial and critical leverage The Chennai summit will take stock of the following strategic initiatives and devise ways in order for Tamils also to benefit out of them. They are:
The Rise probably is the only Tamil based civil society organization that could organize and curate 13 Global Summits in a very short span of five years with zero support from any Government or major corporates. It’s a stellar statement of civil society possibilities and resolve. The finest moment was the 13th Summit in Davos, Switzerland. The 14th summit in Chennai marks a new beginning of seeking closer collaborations with Government, Corporates, Non-Tamil stakeholders, and also consolidation of all the projects The Rise has either envisioned or kick started in the last five years. They include Global Tamil village & Country Club, Green Ocean, Global University of Excellence for Engineering and Liberal Arts, Sustainocrats, Global Tamil Bank and a Tamil Stable Coin, T-One Global Services, Good Food Alliance, Global Tamil Engineers Forum (GTEF), Aatral- Association of Global Tamil IT Entrepreneurs and Professionals, TWI -Tamil Women International, TDI - Tamil Doctors International, G-TAFP - Global Tamil Auditors and Finance Professionals, GenNext- Aram League, InTERA - International Association of Small Entrepreneurs and Retailers, Thamizhalayam, Tamil Economic Council, Global Tamil Civil society as a Tamil commonwealth and several more.
