Despite geopolitical shifts, uncertainties and risks it’s economy is projected to grow in the coming years at the rate above 7% on the strength of the financial sector and other recent and future structural reforms. It is vitally important for Tamil businesses to expand their footprints in states of India other than Tamil Nadu. The RISE Chennai Summit is making special efforts to bring Tamil entrepreneurs and professionals from Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar, Odisha to begin this process of Tamil Business engagement with other States of India.

Particularly to ensure that the digital era unfolds and blossoms in the most inclusive, equitable and ethical manner. A parallel summit within the mega Chennai Summit involving mainly IT entrepreneurs and professionals is organized to delve immersive and come out with a road map to achieve this grand vision of preparing the Tamil community for the 21st century Deep Tech era.

The Rise Chennai summit will make provisions to understand Globalization 2.0 & the shifting paradigms of global trade, D-risking and relocation of supply chains. The summit will also discuss new commercial and governmental forces transforming trade dynamics. Treating the Diaspora heft as a crucial and critical leverage The Chennai summit will take stock of the following strategic initiatives and devise ways in order for Tamils also to benefit out of them. • India- Middle East- Europe Economic Corridor, a landmark initiative announced at the G20 Summit in New Delhi on September 09, 2023.
• India - EFTA (European Free Trade Association) Trade deal signed on May 22, 2024 which would diversify India's trade partners worldwide enhancing its export capabilities, foreign investments, and supply chain integrity.
• ECTA - Australia - India Economic Co-operation and Trade Agreement of December 29,2022 which makes nearly 96% of current imports from India to Australia tariff free.
• The proposed 23 km bridge road, rail bridge and tunnel over the Palk strait between Dhanushkodi in Tamil Nadu and Talaimannar on Mannar Island of Sri Lanka. This project will make connectivity between India / Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka seamless, and rapid.
